| What is unique about EasyPlot? With most graphing programs, data goes into a spreadsheet and is then graphed. To change a value, it's back to the table. Curve fits or other computations add columns to the table. Getting a graph is always an extra step or two. With EasyPlot, you work directly with graphs. To change a value, pick it up and move it. Curve fits and other computations appear as curves on the graph. Want a closer look? Sketch a rectangle around an area of interest and EasyPlot zooms you in, complete with updated axis labels. It's so logical you'll wonder why other programs don't work this way. With EasyPlot, you can design all kinds of graphs, including XY plots, polar plots, contour maps and 3D fishnet surfaces. Graphs can be overlaid or placed side by side. No problem to have dual axes on display, or have the axes reversed. Place any number of curves on a graph, and any number of data points on a curve, using grids and ranges of your choice. View Fishnet surfaces and scatter plots in 3D, with animated rotation, perspective or hidden lines removed. EasyPlot comes with powerful analysis tools. Linear and non-linear curve fits, cubic and surface splines, smoothing, fast Fourier transforms (and inverse FFTs), histograms, calculus, statistics and error bar displays are some of EasyPlot's many tools. Whatever analysis you set out to achieve, you'll find EasyPlot amazingly fast too. When you've drawn your graph, you'll want to label it. EasyPlot comes with a Text Toolbar that makes mathematical symbol editing a breeze. You can create multi-line graph and axis titles. Titles, legends, notes, lines/arrows, nested subscripts and superscripts and tick marks can all be added freely to enhance your graph. A full range of colors helps to make your plots easier to read. Once you've analyzed your data and designed your graph on screen, you can now exploit Windows' ability to support all kinds of output options. You can copy your graph to the clipboard for export to your word processor or spreadsheet, or create a hard copy on any printer supported by Windows (including PostScript and color devices) to provide publication-quality output. A full range of graph sizes, fonts and line weights are available, as are options for printing landscape or portrait. You can even edit your graphs in Print Preview mode. All onscreen processes can be programmed to operate in batch mode for background execution - for example, in response to data acquisition experiments - so that your graphs can be automatically plotted and printed. You may program many other processes too. Alternatively, these routines can be tied to a function key so that complex results can be achieved at a single key press. With EasyPlot you can simply grab data from the clipboard or call up any Windows file. Your data can come from a spreadsheet, word processor, database or data capture software. Or you can key data into a built-in spreadsheet, or enter an equation that will generate your values. Because EasyPlot has been packed into under one megabyte of disk space, it will be one of your faster Windows applications, whether on a standalone PC or laptop. |
